Nothing much to say / San Francisco, CA / 33 months ago

@ WORK Things have been busy, we are growing. Juan is coming to town to work with me on starting a new project. Toke and I are going to Chicago on the 26th for a meeting on the 27th. Toke and Phil are heading to France (seperately) for a few weeks in July. Michael is moving to Naperville, Illinois in late July.

@ HOME Petey was not feeling well, but is getting better. Dara and I are taking a tropical vacation next month for our anniversary and her 30th birthday, though I can't say where since it's a surprise. Chris will be house-sitting/vacationing in SF while we are gone. I've been going to the gym to swim laps since I can't fully commit to the idea of a "gym" yet. I am excited about the iPhone and have a plan for getting one on the 29th, though it's not a guarantee. Peter is coming to town for several weeks to do some contract work for Apple. Tomorrow we are going to see the A's play the Cardinals with Dara's family for Father's Day.

Third stop, Brooklyn / Brooklyn, NY / 34 months ago

I have arrived in New York after skipping across the country through Chicago and Nashville. It's been an easy trip so far with flights being on time and relatively short, excluding my trip from Nashville to JFK last night where we were delayed for 3+ hours due to weather in NY.

Chicago was a busy but fun time. Day 1 was spent over at skinnyCorp talking strategy and planning with Jake and Jeffrey. Later that night my sister and I went over to the Green Mill, one of my favorite places on the planet, to hear some music and unwind. I have been going to the Mill now since the late 90's and I have to say that one of my favorite aspects is that nothing really changes, at all.

The next day I met with a prospective client and then headed to Wrigley Field with my sister and another client to watch the Cubbies get abused by the Marlins in an 8-0 home run bash (yes, we went to the Cubby Bear afterwards).

Nashville was little more than a 30 hour stop-off (with the exception of the flight delay) where I got to catch up with some old friends, Troy and Starr, who I haven't seen in 4.5 years. I also had the pleasure of meeting their adorable little daughter Ameryn, who's personality, wit and charm was quite infectious.

Later that night we met up with the Moustache May crew for the closing party, which just happened to be next door to the studio where my friend Eli works... hence the fantastic photo.

The next morning we visited with KNI Nashville to catch up on some email and work before the next departure. While at KNI Travis turned me on to the CNT plug-ins and extensions to mootools JavaScript library (thanks Travis).

The rest of the weekend will be spent in meetings and planning with Michael and Toke about what's to come from Cuban Council. First thing's first though, a quick walk from the office over to Freeman's Sporting Club to remove this caterpillar from under my nose properly with a straight razor.

Once screening / San Francisco, CA / 34 months ago

Last night we went to the Roxie to see a screening of the new movie Once starring Glen Hansard from The Frames. The movie was both funny and serious and overall a great show. I certainly recommend going to watch the film should your local theater be showing it. After the screening, there was a Q+A with the director as well as Glen and Marketa followed by a performance of several songs from the movie. For Frames fans or those familiar with The Swell Season album, you will surely recognize the music.

This weekend is the Bay to Breakers race here in SF and I plan to take my usual curb-side post for shooting photos again this year.

Jacob DeHart told me that if I removed Google AdWords from my site that I would restore my dignity. He also said that he would give me $20 to make up for my personal financial loss.
"Jacob, it's great to have my dignity back, now where's my effin' Andrew Jackson!"
